Diocesan Update June 28th, 2017

Thank You!

Best. Diaper Drive. Ever.
As reported in the Times-Union on Monday, June 19th, this year's Diaper Drive at the 149th Convention of the Episcopal Diocese of Albany was the "most successful ever," according to Fr. James Brisbin, Rector at St Francis Mission in Albany and missionary to Burmese refugees. Fr. Brisbin commented that "The love and support for helping refugees both in our home town and across the world is very evident." So thank you to all who donated - diapers or dollars. The babies and their parents are grateful!

Beaver Cross Scholarships

Double Your Gift!
Beaver Cross’ goal is that every child who wishes to go to camp is able to do so. That can only happen through the generous donations of people like you towards scholarships. If you've been considering a gift to fund a scholarship, now is the time to donate! A very generous anonymous donor has offered a $10,000 matching gift for Beaver Cross Scholarships. For every dollar given, this donor will match it, dollar for dollar, up to a total of $10,000. The price for a week at overnight camp is $490 and a week at Day Camp is $255. A gift to fund one child would fund two children with the matching grant. But any amount will be matched - so double your gift! You can donate online here (click on the red arrow that says "Donate Now Camper Sponsorships"), or mail a check to Christ the King Spiritual Life Center, 575 Burton Road, Greenwich, NY 12834 - but be sure to write "Beaver Cross Scholarship" in the memo line so that your gift can be matched! Together we can make the dream of a week at camp come true for each child who applies for a scholarship.
