Dear Brothers and Sisters,
Yesterday had the joy of celebrating Eucharist with our campers at (the New) Beaver Cross at the Spiritual Life Center. Lots of enthusiasm and a well planned program. Great Christ-centered staff. I was able to spend the whole afternoon there as well beginning with the Holy Hour at noon.
Prayer requests: Marty Small (wife of Fr Bill) who is seeking appropriate treatments for cancer. Fr Ted Monica for impending back surgery.
"Inner Healing/Healing of Memories", Saturday, July 9th 10:00 am to 3:00 pm; The Rev. Nigel Mumford will lead a day retreat on: A prayerful insight to the healing of memories and restoring our inner-self. Cost: $39.00 per person (includes lunch) Call the SLC at (518) 692-9550 to reserve a slot.
July 18-22 The Emerging Leaders Conference with Dr Francis and Judith MacNutt and Don Williams at Christ the King Spiritual Life Center. Call Christian Healing Ministries at (904) 765-3332 for details. This program is for clergy, doctors and nurses, and those lay people very interested in the healing ministry.
Christ Church, Morristown will sponsor its annual Summer Retreat from Friday August 19 to Sunday Aug 21 at Wadhams Hall, Route 37 on the Morristown-Ogdensburg Road. This year's Retreat will focus on Healing and be led by the Rev'd Nigel Mumford. Cost is $110 ($120 for a private room). Reservations can be made by sending a $10 deposit to Mrs. Marilyn Coombs, Box 55, Ogdensburg, NY 13669.
The Cursillo Weekend for Couples will be held August 25 - 28. This particular format will not only strengthen a couple's Christian life, but also their Christian marriage. Ordinarily separate weekends are held for men and for women. But with the couples, it enables them to draw on the sacramental grace of marriage as well. This is a major apostolate under the leadership of Ray Farrara; Father Bill Cooper is Spiritual Director of Cursillo for the diocese.
