Transfiguration of Our Lord

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
In my address to Convention in June, I spoke of a "spirit of poverty" which seems to have affected many of us, and pointed out how God does not want us to minister out of this spirit. Rather, he wants us to minister in confidence from the abundance which he has given us. I have asked Crown Financial Ministries to come and help us. They teach a Christian perspective on money along with practical ways to enjoy a "spirit of abundance."
Crown Ministries will give us an introduction to their teachings in September and October. In November, they will return to present workshops to train instructors who will in turn be certified to teach the 10 week Crown Ministry course in your parish and community.
To learn more about the Crown Ministry teachings, I would like all clergy, especially rectors and vicars, church wardens, and interested laity from each parish to attend one of the Introductory sessions. Spouses are encouraged to attend.
The meetings will be at the following locations and begin at 6:30 pm with coffee and refreshments. The Introduction will begin at 7 pm and end by 9 pm. Please register at www.albanyepiscopaldiocese.org/ so we can plan accordingly for seating, handouts, and refreshments.
