Update of Fr Nigel. He remains in the ICU at Saratoga Hospital and his condition has worsened. His family requests your prayers for his healing. Please keep his family in your prayers as well as the doctors, nurses, technicians treating Fr Nigel.
Regional Confirmation
The regional confirmation service is next Saturday, October 31. Names of those to be confirmed or received were due yesterday. If you missed the deadline and are presenting individuals, please send their full names to Ray Rockwell at rrockwell@albanydiocese.org with a copy to Jerry Carroll at jcarroll@albanydiocese.org.
Service begins at 11 AM and those being presented should plan on arriving by 10:00 AM to meet with the Bishop and have a walk-through of the service.
Clergy vesting should wear a cassock alb with red stole.
Canon Hio Funeral
His funeral will be held Saturday, November 7 beginning at 3 PM at Christ Church, Schenectady. Internment will follow immediately at Parkview Cemetery, Schenectady. A reception will be held at Christ Church following the internment.
Monica North, wife of Fr Jay North, Rector, Trinity, Rensselaerville, fell and broke her shoulder last week. Fortunately it did not require surgery. Please pray for healing of her shoulder and a timely recovery.
Prayer Request Update
Fr Carrier’s recovery from his surgery is just about complete. Your continued prayers for his battle with cancer are appreciated.
Tish Kelley is recovering well at home following her knee surgery. Your continued prayers for healing and a timely recovery are appreciated by her and Fr. John.
Healing Mission – Christ Church, Herkimer . The Healing Mission at Christ Church, Herkimer scheduled for November 14 is CANCELLED. The Safeguarding God's Children Seminars for MINISTRIES is being offered on Saturday, November 14 at Zion Episcopal Church, Hudson Falls, NY. Presenters are Fr. Mike & Marianne Gorchov. Class will begin at 9 a.m. and end at 1 p.m. These seminars are open to all clergy, lay leaders and church workers within the Diocese. The sexual abuse prevention program recommended throughout the Albany Diocese has been "Safeguarding God's Children" for MINISTRIES, (SGC-M) which is a specialized program developed by Church Pension Group. It is an education and training program offered for preventing and responding to child sexual abuse in everyday life and in ministry. It is geared to clergy, parents, youth workers, vestry members, and congregation members who are responsible for protecting children.
