Parish Leadership Conferences. “I encourage each member of the clergy, churchwardens, vestry members, parish administrators, altar guild director, treasurer, finance committee member, mission chairperson, outreach coordinator, acolyte coordinator, teacher, or other leader in the parish, come invest a day at a Parish Leadership Conference. These focus on fulfilling our spiritual and temporal duties and responsibilities in leading our parishes. There is no fee to attend, but we do ask that the parishes email us at diocese@albanydiocese.org with the number attending from the parish and ideally the names of those attending. This helps in ordering lunch and preparing handouts. Come to the PLC that fits your schedule. Each begins at 9 AM and ends by 4 PM. Lunch included . I look forward to seeing you at a PLC.” +Bill

DR Mission Team Update (1/11/10) “Today was a very busy day and the Lord Blessed as we worked for his glory. following are reports from each team:
CONSTRUCTION TEAM. Busy all day. Dave, Mike, and Jenn took off the roof on the back of the old school and were able to replace part of it today. Wendy, Dora, Bernice, Wanda, Mitzi, and Kathy sanded the benches for the old school. Bill and Jenn patched the wall with cement. Bill had lots of help [from] the village children. Mitz scraped the outside walls and Kathy painted. The old school is going to be a Trade School for the parish. Charlie was our Driver and he made sure we kept fluids in us and supplied us with building and painting supplies.
VBS TEAM. We had 16 children. Laura read "The Story of Jesus". They assembled a Cross telling the events of the life of Jesus and made bookmarks for their Books. Mitzi and Wanda assisted the children. We ended with a song led by one of the Dominican Women, and our old favourite -the “ Tooty-ta.”
Baby-Care and First Aid Class. The Class was given by Nurse Practioners, Suzann and Yvonne, with Kathy assisting. Eighteen expecting mothers were there and infants. Tote bags, with infant supplies, made up by Cindy and Jane with items donated from their community in North Carolina, were given out. The class was very informative and well received.”
