Diocesan Update - March 5, 2010
As many of you know, there has been a great deal of discussion throughout the Anglican Communion about the proposed Anglican Covenant. At our Diocesan Convention last year, I stated it is important that we study the Covenant to have a better understanding of what it is and what it is not. To assist us in these discussions, I’ve asked our Canon Theologian, The Very Rev. Dr. Cn. Christopher Brown, to share with us his understanding of the Covenant and its implications for us as individuals, as parishes, as a diocese, and as a church. A DVD of his presentation is being mailed today to each parish in the Diocese. The mailer is addressed to the Clergy, Churchwardens, and Vestry of the parish. Where there is no clergy assigned, it is addressed to the Churchwardens and Vestry. Please be on the lookout for it in your mail box.
