Diocesan Update - August 2, 2010

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

Just after the earlier Diocesan Update Addendum was sent out, we received the following.

 Janean Skutt (sister of Fr Joel Grigg) and her husband Charles were killed in an automobile/motorcycle accident late Sunday afternoon in Coldwater, Michigan. Funeral arrangements are pending. Fr. Grigg is the Rector at St. John’s, Massena.

Rest eternal grant unto them, O Lord; let light perpetual shine upon them.

Almighty God, Father of all mercies and giver of comfort: Deal graciously, we pray, with all who mourn; that, casting all their care on you, they may know the consolation of your love; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen (BCP pg 505)

 P.S. – News reports say the 18 yr old driver of the automobile was talking on a cell phone when pulling out in front of the Skutt’s motorcycle.
