Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

Since I wrote you last Thursday asking you to pray for Christians in the Middle East who were being persecuted, several people have asked how they could send money to help provide food, clothing, and shelter for those fleeing the persecution there. I am gratified by this response and would like to suggest three ways you can donate money to help these our brothers and sisters in Christ who are leaving all they have behind to escape the violence:

  1. The Foundation for Relief and Reconciliation in the Middle East. This foundation is associated with St. George's Church, Baghdad and supports the work of Canon Andrew White. The foundation provides humanitarian relief through St. George's Church and St. George's Clinic. For more information on the foundation, click here. To make a donation, click here.
  2. Anglican Relief and Development. This agency is partnering with Archbishop Mouneer Anis and the Province of Jerusalem and the Middle East to offer direct aid to refugees who are in dire need of food and shelter through the local Anglican church. For more information on how Anglican Relief and Development is helping in Iraq, click here. To make a donation, click here.
  3. Samaritan's Purse. This organization, led by the Rev. Franklin Graham, is providing food and shelter for thousands of refugees in Northern Iraq. For more information about how they are helping these refugees, click here. To make a donation, click here.
I encourage you to give generously to help our brothers and sisters in Christ in Iraq with their material needs and to continue to keep those fleeing violence and persecution in the Middle East in your prayers.

Your Brother in Christ,
